Proposed Additions to Competitor List
Date: September 2026
Status: Added to Competitors.md as #16–23; full reports are in Competitor Analysis/16–23.
Purpose: Fill coverage gaps in Competitors.md (15 vendors). Numbering continues from the existing list.
Gaps addressed:
- Intake / orchestration layer: only Tonkean covers it today. Zip, ORO Labs, Omnea and Levelpath are the main vendors in this category.
- Gartner S2P Leaders: Oracle is the one MQ Leader (2025 and 2026) not yet covered.
- Autonomous sourcing: there is no specialist AI-sourcing vendor in the list yet.
- Public e-tendering: Proactis is the only large European public-sector player. Mercell adds a second benchmark for the Zinit / Bidzar / bids.do segment.
- Zip – Intake-to-pay procurement orchestration platform with 50+ AI agents and “superagents” (Sourcing and PO Superagents announced at Zip Forward, Sept 2026). Raised a $190M Series D at a $2.2B valuation (Oct 2024). Customers include OpenAI, Snowflake, Discover, Reddit and Sephora. Positions itself as the “single front door” for all purchasing, sitting on top of the ERP/P2P stack.
- Oracle Fusion Cloud Procurement – ERP-native source-to-pay suite, named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Source-to-Pay Suites in both 2025 and 2026. It is the natural comparison to SAP Ariba for organizations that run on Oracle ERP.
- Levelpath – AI-native procurement platform built from scratch for intake-to-procure, sourcing, contract management and supplier risk. $100M raised in total (Series B $55M, led by Battery Ventures, June 2025). Customers include Amgen, Ace Hardware, SiriusXM and Western Union.
- ORO Labs – Agentic procurement orchestration platform that coordinates workflows across existing systems (ERP, P2P, CLM, GRC). Raised a $100M Series C (Mar 2026, Brighton Park and Goldman Sachs Alternatives) after 300% revenue growth. $160M raised in total.
- Omnea – AI-native intake and supplier relationship management platform with a strong focus on supplier onboarding, third-party risk and due diligence. Raised a $50M Series B (Sept 2025, Insight Partners and Khosla Ventures). Customers include Spotify, Albertsons, Adecco, Wise and Monzo.
- Fairmarkit – Autonomous sourcing platform that started in tail-spend RFQ automation. It launched “Total Agentic Sourcing” (Apr 2026), where AI agents run sourcing events from tactical buys up to strategic contracts on top of leading ERPs.
- Keelvar – Sourcing optimization and autonomous sourcing bots, strong in complex, high-volume events such as logistics and freight tenders. Named in the 2026 Gartner Market Guide for Sourcing Applications in both the Advanced Sourcing Optimization and Autonomous Sourcing categories.
- Mercell – Europe’s public procurement and e-tendering platform (eNotice, eTendering, eAwarding, eAuction, eContract) with 800,000+ users. AI summarizes tender documents and matches suppliers to opportunities. It is the closest benchmark for the government tendering segment.
